Welcome
to the current middle ages at sea. This is the website for the HMS
Pegasus, a ship of the royal fleet who's home port is (mundanely) in
northern Sunnyvale, California. Although we sail within the waters
of the Principality of the Mists, which includes the entire San Francisco
Bay Area, we sail under the colors of the Kingdom of the West as one
of his majesties ships. The West is one kingdom out of 19 within
the Society for Creative Anachronism comprising the northern portion
of California, all of Alaska, Japan, and South Korea. The HMS Pegasus is dedicated to researching and recreating the nautical Middle Ages in our present day. Our goal is to help learn and teach more knowledge about nautical history, technology, and science during the middle ages in European society prior to the 1600's. Please feel free to come aboard and join us. |
