Welcome to Torvaldr's Leather Works
and the Viking Home Companion!

Torvaldr Torgarson has been a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Kingdom of the West for over 20 years. He produces SCA battle tested leather armor and accessories. Specializing in wax hardened leather scale armor, lamellar, custom demi-guantlets arming and kidney belts, gorgets, and more. If you don't see it, ask! In addition to his skills as an armorer, (who prides himself on quality and economy), he is also a skald.

All the metal work used, when necessary to meet armor regs, comes from All Saints Armory, owned and operated by Thomas Huguenin, known in the SCA as Sir Thomas Edmund of Ruislip. In addition being a knight in the SCA, Sir Thomas is also a Master of the Laurel for his armoring and fabrication skills and has been involved with the SCA for over 20 years. You will find a link to his site navigation bar above it is well worth the visit! You will see examples not only of his skill as an armorer, but as a fabricator, jeweler, and more. The in stock gallery features items produced by both Torvaldr and Sir Thomas, and is constantly changing as items are sold and new ones come in.

I am proud to sponsor Faelan ua hEogain's most recent project to map the entire Known World. If you have the interest please take a look at the wonderful work he has put together and is continuing to produce.

Faelan ua hEogain has been a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Kingdom of the West for about 2 years. He is beginning his SCA interests with big steps as an Illuminator, and as an unofficial cartographer of the West Kingdom. He has also recently started his own ship the HMS Pegasus which has taken on the mantle to help spread the knowledge of nautical history and cartography.

What is the Viking Home Companion you may ask? It is a collection of comedic stories and filk songs that take place in, or involving the folk of the imaginary village of Skaugnir in Jutland, Denmark, just Northeast of Viborg. Or in Asgard the home of the Gods. For more information and audio samples, just follow the link to the village of Skaugnir above in the nav bar, or click on the picture to the right.
